Dr. Darby grew up in Geneva County, Alabama where she graduated from Geneva High School in 2013.
She attended Troy University and graduated with a Bachelors in Biomedical Science in 2018. Afterwards she attended Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received a Master’s degree in 2019 before going on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2024.
Dr. Darby began working at Goodwin Animal Hospital just prior to entering Veterinary School and has enjoyed coming back between terms throughout her academic career. She is passionate about preventative medicine, client education, and protecting and enhancing the human-animal bond through her work as a veterinarian.
In her free time, Dr. Darby loves to read, travel, and spend time with her two dogs, Aggie and Hux, cats, Yara and Po, and husband Nate with whom she is expecting her first child.
